Former MCG boss Eric Stauffer has come out with the new definition of Abu Dhabi, UAE trip sponsored by Mohammed bin Zayed, which includes flying in an ode to rescue the now ex-president of the Geneva government, Pierre Maudet. In an interview obtained by the Martin Sunday, Eric Stauffer affirmed, “Pierre Maudet is some one fundamentally honest. I can attest to that”.
According to Stauffer, the controversial trip of 2015, was aimed to bring back a Chinese Banking institution in Geneva. Yet, the council continues to allege that it was a private trip to which, the former MCG boss has come out with a new variation.
“When you’re a state councilor, there are no private or business trips, it’s a 24/7 function, 365 days a year,” says Eric Stauffer in an interview on Sunday morning.
Stauffer served as an intermediary between the magistrate and “a head of state of a country of the Europe zone, which maintains very close links with UAE crown prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and the Chinese authorities”.
The former chief of staff, Pierre Maudet has “done derail”, according to Mr Stauffer. He expressed, “ My efforts were interrupted by a phone call from the chief of staff who informed me that he had, through his relations, finally got Pierre Maudet to be invited on the occasion of Formula 1 Grand Prix.” Adding that “A meeting was going to be organized on this occasion”.
The trip was organized with an aim to solidify the contract and Eric Stauffer believes that the Lebanese “just worked for Pierre Maudet to be one of 200 to 300 people who are invited each time by the Abu Dhabi prince, with all expenses paid. The magistrate could not then refuse to offer of trip, which could have otherwise been perceived as an insult.
The laundering of funds by the UAE’s , Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and the Chinese authorities may be called as a speculation. However, the fact is that flow of funds and the timing of meeting conveys that there is something fishy about it.
