Syria Deems Foreign Support a Deception Covering Atrocity

Protests against the political powers could lead to something what Syria has been going through from past eight years. The intervention of foreign powers messed up the situation further, and led to fatalities of thousands of civilians. However, after years of sabotage, the war-torn country seems hopeful of restoring peace.

Recently, an association of certain international countries released an statement extending a supportive hand to the Syrian Arab Republic, under certain conditions. However, Syria knocked it down as a historical document of lie, hypocrisy, deception and falsification.

On the eighth anniversary of one of the worst modern wars in history, the government of the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom vowed to seriously engage in bringing back peace to Syria. However, the statement says that the assistance won’t be provided “until a credible, substantive, and genuine political process is irreversibly underway”.

The war-torn country responded saying that the countries responsible for the massive destruction and massacre are not invited to contribute to the reconstruction in anyway.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), an official source at Foreign and Expatriates Minister said that these foreign countries “should only pay compensations” for the genocides caused by “their heinous crimes”, and put a halt to “their blatant interference in internal affairs”.

The source reportedly claimed that the atrocities committed by the US-led coalition and the terrorist groups in Syria are “war crimes” against humanity.

The UN reported that a total of 12 million Syrians are either refugees or they have displaced inside Syria during the eight years of war. The figure is nearly half of the pre-war population. Although the thoughts of reconstruction are emerging, the hurdles are already on the way.

Currently, the US-coalition is seeking to conduct air strikes and shelling over the last Islamic State group enclave. However, the operation of defeating the group is becoming difficult due to several reasons, but mainly the people living in the village of Baghouz near the Iraqi border. As per the reports, the US-coalition killed ten civilians in an attack on al-Baghouz Camp in the southeast of Deir Ezzor.

At present, Syria looks hopeful about the end to this prolonged war, but the existing traces make it hard to believe. While peace for the country is in sight, the continued attacks and killings must come to halt.
